Mitchell Williams formed Chickasha Wings, Inc. in 2003 to provide airplane rental and flight instruction at the Chickasha Airport in Chickasha, Oklahoma. After graduating from Kansas State University in 1985, Mitch moved from Kansas to work for a power company in Anadarko, Oklahoma. After he married his wife Stacy, she fulfilled her dream of learning to fly. This was a continuance of a family legacy for Stacy, whose grandfather flew an F-86 in Korea - the first jet fighter. Buying an airplane was the next logical step for Mitch and Stacy. Mitch had to learn to fly too and earned his Private Pilot Certificate. He went on to earn more ratings and became an instructor, an A&P mechanic and an IA mechanic. Being involved in helping others realize their dreams of flight was the final ingredient to an already perfect recipe.
Richard Drapeau is one of our full time instructors here at Chickasha Wings. Richard enjoys teaching students how to fly. He graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a degree in Aviation. Give him a call to schedule a flight.
Cody is a flight test engineer for a large aerospace company in the Oklahoma City area. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of flying, Cody enjoys skiing in the winter and riding his motorcycle in the summer. Cody’s family is also actively involved in the aviation community. His father is a flight instructor and his brother serves in the United States Air Force as a pilot. In addition to being a CFI, he also has his commercial multi-engine rating and his tailwheel endorsement.
